I am single, a pet owner of a six year old male Shih-Tzu. My “Patches” was first injured in November of 2012 when he jumped from the shopping cart at Lowes. As a result, a spinal/disc surgery was required. It cost $800 in regular veterinary fees prior to locating a surgeon in Little Rock which cost $3200 for the CT Scan and surgery, for a total of $4000.00.
Most recently, December 2013, my friend, Patches re-injured his back during the December ice storm in Little Rock. He went outside and I could see him sliding in the
ice trying to find a spot to “use”. However, I could not rescue him because I have a prosthetic knee. I have no funding left as I am still paying for the previous surgery, please help me save my friend, “Patches” so that he can have a better quality of life. I would appreciate any support that you may consider giving. He is AKC registered, black and white and he means the world to me! However, I cannot afford another surgery.
The estimate for a CT Scan and surgery with at Azzore is $2,923. I have also attached a picture from his previous surgery to show him stretching his rear-end to avoid the pain. Over the past week he has been with his veterinarian taking steroids, Tramadol and a Laser treatment. However, this type medical treatment cannot be maintained. The CT Scan and surgery is needed. Please help me save Patches before the medications run out. My campaign will end on January 31, 2014.
