Update 3/24/16: The most difficult posts to make, are the ones you have to type through tears… For those of you who have followed this sweet boy, we are very, very sorry to let you know that Quasi has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Sometimes the best attitude in the world, and the best of veterinary medicine can’t change the outcome. We know that Quasi was very loved. Run free, sweet boy.
Quasi had surgery on February 4th to repair his elbows. We received x-rays from his veterinarian over the weekend. Unfortunately, it looks like he has broken the hardware in one of his elbows and will need revision surgery to replace the hardware. So, we are again asking you to help this boy. Because his injuries were not taken care of shortly after his was hit by a car, correction is far more difficult than repairing a fresh fracture. But, it is still possible to give Quasi the chance to have a more normal life and the ability to walk on his feet instead of his forelimbs! We’d like to give him the opportunity to have a good quality of life in a loving family. Can you help? Please consider donating through the link below, or you can call or mail your donation directly to Azzore. And please, share Quasi’s story. Thank you!
Quasi, a 1.5 year old rescued hound mix is in need of a life-changing surgery by Dr. Dew. Quasi was neglected (the medical treatment by his former owner) after being hit by a car and suffering multiple fractures on his 2 front legs and right shoulder. His fractures are fused in the position that requires Quasi to bear his body weight on his elbows. Needless to say, he has ulcers and swelling from constant pressure. Quasi can only walk a short distance and then his elbows give way, and he has to lie down. He also balances by sitting on his hind end at times. Quasi’ s corrective surgery is estimated to cost $3563.00.
Please consider making a donation so this super sweet, lovable boy can have a better quality of life and be adopted by a “forever” home. He is a young adult with many years left to live. Love, Quasi’s Foster Family
